Thursday, July 18th Wet Mountain Valley Stampede Ranch Rodeo
We have invited up to 10 cowboy and cowgirl teams to Westcliffe for a one-night competition. They will compete in events similar to what they do every day, along with some just plain fun events for cash prizes and bragging rights.
Each team will be made up of five cowboys/cowgirls and will compete in 6 timed events and the ranch bronc riding. The team with the highest score in all events will be the Ranch Rodeo Champions. There will also be prizes given to the top horse and the top hand award to the best cowboy.
78th Annual Wet Mountain Valley Stampede PRCA & WPRA Rodeo Friday, July 19th & Saturday, July 20th, 2024.
Celebrate Custer County's exciting ranching history on the third weekend of July at the granddaddy of our summer events. Sponsored by the Wet Mountain Valley Saddle Club, this PRCA & WPRA sanctioned event begins on Friday.
We will have Saturday morning’s parade down Westcliffe’s Main Street at 10:00 a.m. featuring rodeo personalities, equine partners, sponsors, and more.
Stock Contractor: Summit Pro Rodeo! Roping, bronc, and bull riding, barrel-racing, and mutton busting events fill Friday and Saturday's schedules; Rodeo clowns add to the entertainment—while risking their own safety to protect riders

From a farm and cattle ranch in Southeast Colorado near the Oklahoma Panhandle, Clare Dunn’s music is inspired by the rugged country and agriculture way of life she comes from. Working cattle, hauling water, driving combines, tractors and eighteen wheelers from a young age all were a part of everyday life.
